This sounds like a good idea. I kind of smoking without the smoke. Only $200. I wonder how much the refills are.

Scotty's ashes were supposed to be launched into space with a bunch of other peoples. Something went wrong however and now they are looking for the ashes in New Mexico.

Wow!! This guy flew from the UK to Australia 13500 miles. Not a big deal until you find out that he's blind and did it in a micro-light. Impressive!!

So you are stuck out in the woods and all you have with you is a bottle of water and a condom. We won't ask why and prefer not to know why that is all you have. Now you need to build a Fire.

Today from Gadling we have a few pretty cool pictures of Airplane mishapes. Hopefully nothing like this ever happens to me.

Since I didn't make 30 trades last quarter I can't use the etrade power trader platform anymore. The other options they give you are fairly useless for the kind of trading I want to do. (Not long term).
I'm thinking of moving my account to Tradestation. It looks pretty cool with the back testing and automation if you want it. There is also a realtime stock scanner that you can set up to watch just about everything for you. Yeah I just might do it.....

As some of you who read this know, I work in the cable industry. An incredibly unfulfilling job but I guess it pays the bills. Anyway
Cablecards a re getting ready to go main stream. They have too as there is a mandate from the FCC for separable security by 7/7/2007. Here are a couple of articles from CNET on them and a few user experiences with them.
CableCard goes MainStream
CableCard hopes.

Well I made it through the bad week. Mom and Uncle Gary are out of the hospital but Grandpa is in it now.
No a good note, hopefully some time this week they will be putting in the landscaping in the backyard. I've got the bushes (5 small three big) planted and also three trees. I should end up with a pretty nice yard to hang out in this summer.
Bad part is I've got the pager this week and looks like I'll have to start traveling again. But not good travel say to Europe. ;)

It's been a busy week so far. Right now I'm sitting in the ICU with my Mother who is'nt doing really well. We're not really sure what's wrong yet but hopefully we will know something later today. My uncle also went to the hospital on Monday and ended up getting a triple bypass. Interesting times. ;(

When I bought my new house last Sept. it came with "Free" landscaping for the backyard. I got two certificates one from Cherry Creek Tree Farms for $2500 worth of plants and the other from Theisen Sprinkler Company for 2000 sqft of irigated sod. Sweet!! Well maybe. The $2500 for plants worked well, that's a lot of trees and bushes so I still have $450 of that left to replace anything I kill. The sprinkler thing is a different story. So far it's going to cost me $2500. Mostly in rocks, and you have to have rocks. I guess it's not to bad as I'll have a nice full backyard by next month but I don't want to talk to the sprinkler company again until it's time to pay the bill. Every time I've talked to them I end up paying more money. ;)
