If you want to get all the subscribers or at least most of them get the networks to drop the ads and logos that clutter up the bottom of the screen during shows.

With Verizon deployed in 5% of Comcasts market they are starting to feel the pinch. They are also starting to worry more about DirecTV and Dish taking HDTV customers away. Stock price is slipping on investor fears of decreased revenue.
All I can say as a current Comcast subscriber is "good!" I wish Verizon or AT&T were deploying in my area. Time to short Comcast and Time Warner? :)

Since I started looking for a new job I've been a little slack posting. I know nothing new. ;) Nothing much to post about. My skills seem to be in much more demand than I thought though. I really wish there were more going on with IPTV in the USA though. I could be convinced to travel to Europe a lot though. ;)

Added a new downloads page. Currently I've only got the one tool posted. It's a tool I use during testing of IP video systems using an RTSP server. It make things much easier but it's windows only. It should work on linux and wine though.
It contains a dll that can be used to link to in your own code or can be used with the simple UI included. There are some bugs, not big ones though and I'll be doing a complete rewrite of this tool to make it much more polished.
I need feedback though. Try it out and let me know what you would like to see.

Orca and Muvee team up to create an IPTV application that allows instant creation of home movies over an IPTV service. Kind of like photoshow but better. See LivePhoto at IBC.

It was a pretty interesting day today. i had no idea how much the skills I've worked to build over the years would be indemand.
I was feeling a little worried earlier this week wondering how I was going to fill my time. Today was spent mostly on the phone talking to managers, VPs and recruiters. I don't think I've spent this much time on the phone since I was in high school talking to my girl friend. :)
Now to land that perfect job. Well I guess Bill Gates has that one or maybe Richard Bronson but I'll settle for something I'm good at and like to do.
