I still prefer Vonage to any of the other Telephone providers I could chose.  But I guess I'll probaly be keeping my cell phone handy too.

I've remembered why I haven't built a computer for 5 years.  Other than the fact that I could probably buy one for the same price it's the freaking headaches that come with it.

So far I've found that Maxtor drives don't play well with the nVidia chips on the SATA connectors.  So I have to return those.  I've got two new Seagates that are working fine.

The Video card I bought (Not a $500 gaming card) is so new the only drivers are beta and they don't work with AMD dual core cpus so well.  So I ended up getting a slightly more expensive one from ATI.  That's when I figured out that the power supply that comes with the case doesn't provide quite enough juice to run the video card stably.

And now my good old standby that I've been using for 5 years is starting to act up.  :)

For a computer upgrade.  I've actually put it off for 5 years this time.  :)  But I'm really getting tired of listening to the fans in the one I've got now.

The Specs on the new computer that I'm installing and updating right now:

AMD 4400+ dual core processor.  Upgraded from AMD 1800 MP x2

ASUS A8N-SLI Delux motherboard. Upgraded from Tyan Tiger 2600.

2 GB Corsaire memory. Upgraded from 1 GB.

2 300 GB SATA Drives in Raid 0. Upgraded from 2 150 GB Drives.

GeForce 7300 GS video card. Upgraded from Nvidia GeForce 5950.

And a slick new black case.

The drives were a great deal $99 each from frys. and the main memory was $89 total from the same place. :)

Reading through all of the comments left here for the Danish Cartoons have shown me one thing.  Most everyone that had an opinion and posted don't know how to spell or use proper grammar.  I'm not really great at it either but I at least try to check my spelling.  :)
